This year promises to be another exciting and fun-filled drama year at Parktown Boys’ High school. Our year kicked off with the Inter-house plays on 23 and 24 April 2013. This was an amazing journey through all genres of theatre. This year four plays were written by the boys themselves…an amazing achievement by the boys.
Next term see the tension mounting with the RAPS and EADS festivals. Again, we have entered two plays into each competition and I hope that we will be able to place in the top three this year. I have heard via the grapevine that Stuart Lewis in Grade 12 is furiously writing a play that he wishes to present at the RAPS festival. What an exciting time we have ahead of us.
This year’s major production promises to be an absolute blast, once again, with the collaberation of between Parktown Boys' High School and our sister school, Parktown High School for Girls. For the 90th Anniversary of both schools, the boys and girls will be performing in the well known stage production, GREASE. WIth atop team of teachers from both schools, this production can only be filled with music, laughter and fun. Grease is the word!

INTER HOUSE PLAYS During the second term the boys were busy preparing for the annual inter house play competition that was held in the school hall. Each house was appointed a director and auditions have taken place to find budding thespians to create their masterpieces. The directors of the different houses then choose a play and the fun were brilliantly executed. Well done to all directors, actors and crew members. PLAYS OF EACH HOUSE Thebans - Are you normal, Mr. Norman? Romans - Murder by midnight. Spartans - When the day comes one must flee. Trojans - Even Hitmen have mothers that loath them. Tuscans - The best restaurant in town. Vulcans - How do I survive form 1! The adjudicators for this year's Inter House Plays were Kabelo Murray, DUane Behrens and Agnes Jooste whose adjudications were of an exceptional standard!
